Claire Collins, UHY

Claire Collins is the Consulting Senior Manager in the UHY Audit & Assurance Department. She has more than 30 years of hands-on professional experience in the private, non-profit, and public sectors. Her skills and experience include executive level program and project management and policy development, analysis and implementation, grants administration and coordination, and federal, state, and local government service delivery.

As a former elected County Board of Supervisor, City Manager, and County Administrator, she managed teams through securing external funding in leveraging tax dollars for economic development and community improvements. Her substantial FEMA collaboration and experience developing and reporting on public assistance projects, directing advisory and assistance assurance programs, monitoring, reporting, and meeting compliance requirements impacted positive community recovery from declared natural disasters. Claire recommended hazard and COVID-19 mitigation and recovery strategies and best practices during the pandemic. Over the past three years, she has advised state and local government clients on CARES Act and ARPA, serving as a subject matter expert.

Claire received a Master of Public Administration in Executive Management and Policy Analysis from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelor of Arts, in Political Studies from North Carolina Wesleyan College.
